What is 'Nduja?

'Nduja (en-doo-ya) is a spicy, spreadable pork-based salami. It is traditionally crafted in Calabria, Italy. We've developed this recipe to deliver an unforgettable burst of bold flavour!

 

Widely known for its rich, smoky taste, it features a flavourful combination of bell peppers, chilli's, paprika and spices.

How do I use 'Nduja?

Our 'Nduja delivers a bold, spicy kick to any dish with its rich, savoury flavour.

To use: Cut one end, scoop it out with a knife, and elevate your cooking!

Its soft, spreadable texture is great on bread or crackers and melts perfectly into pasta sauces, stews or soups. For a tasty twist, spread it on a pizza or mix it with your favourite recipes for extra depth.

Try these three Delicious 'Nduja Recipes!

1. 'Nduja Charcuterie Platter

A simple yet impressive way to showcase 'Nduja’s bold flavor on a stunning platter.

Ingredients:

  • 100g 'Nduja

  • A selection of cured meats (prosciutto, salami, chorizo)

  • Assorted cheeses (camembert, brie, or aged cheddar)

  • Crackers or crusty bread slices

  • Fresh fruits (grapes, figs, or apple slices)

  • Olives

  • Honey or fig jam for a touch of sweetness

 

Instructions:

  1. Arrange the 'Nduja in a small dish or spreadable bowl.

  2. Place cured meats and cheeses in separate sections on a large board or platter.

  3. Add crackers or bread, ensuring they’re easily accessible for spreading the 'Nduja.

  4. Fill gaps with fresh fruits, olives, and cornichons for colour and variety.

  5. Include a drizzle of honey or a small bowl of jam as a sweet contrast to the spicy 'Nduja.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy as a centerpiece for gatherings or a casual snack.

2. 'Nduja Pasta

Spicy, rich, and easy to make, this pasta dish is a comforting classic.

Ingredients:

  • 300g pasta (penne or spaghetti)

  • 100g 'Nduja

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 400g canned cherry tomatoes

  • Olive oil

  • Fresh basil, to garnish

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

 

Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until softened.

  3. Add 'Nduja and stir until it melts into the oil.

  4. Pour in the canned tomatoes, simmer for 10 minutes, and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Toss cooked pasta with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.​

3. 'Nduja Pizza

Take your homemade pizza to the next level with the smoky heat of 'Nduja.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

  • 150g tomato pizza sauce

  • 100g mozzarella, torn

  • 50g 'Nduja

  • Fresh oregano or basil leaves

  • Olive oil

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to its highest setting (about 250°C).

  2. Roll out the pizza dough and place it on a baking tray or pizza stone.

  3. Spread the tomato passata over the base, leaving a small border.

  4. Scatter mozzarella and spoon small dollops of 'Nduja across the pizza.

  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  6. Garnish with fresh oregano or basil and drizzle with olive oil before serving.
