Ingredients:
Verkerks Bratworst Sausages
Pre-cooked
sauerkraut
Verkerks
American Streaky Bacon
Dumplings:
Olive
Oil
Diced
bread (older bread is good)
spring
onions, chopped
Salt
& Pepper

egg
Milk
Flour
Method:
1. In a bowl, mix the bread, spring onions, seasonings and egg
2.
Add flour (the key to successful dumplings is not to use too much)
and let mixture stand
3.
Bring to the boil a pot of water with a touch of olive oil
4.
Take the dumpling mixture and press into small balls. Add
the dumplings to the boiling water. Cook for about 20 mins
or until the dumplings bounce to the top.
5.
Fry bacon in a little oil in pan. Then add sauerkraut. Once
heated through remove and let stand.
6.
Cook the bratworst sausages in a frypan with a little oil.
Be sure to pierce the skins first.
7. Once
the sausages are golden brown, remove and serve with the dumplings,
bacon and sauerkraut.
